Message: The Eternal Measure in the Way of Action for Life (08/28/'24)

Message: The Eternal Measure in the Way of Action for Life Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Today, I invite you to journey with me into the sacred garden of existence, where the towering trees of faith stand as sentinels of spiritual truth. Imagine Christianity as a majestic tree, its roots firmly anchored in the rich soil of the Old Testament. This ancient foundation nourishes and sustains the robust trunk of our faith, drawing wisdom from the depths of history. As the seasons of our faith journey turn, the New Testament brings forth blossoms of hope and promise. Each petal symbolizes the new covenant, heralding the arrival of Christ. His teachings, like the ripe and sweet fruit of this magnificent tree, offer us spiritual nourishment and sustenance. We are reminded of Jesus' timeless question: "What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own life?" (Mark 8:36). This question reverberates through the ages, urging us to weigh the fleeting allure of worldly gain against the eternal value of our souls. In this divine calculus, the true measure of wealth becomes clear. Christ's life and teachings encapsulate the way of action for life. His life is not merely a series of events but a living testament to love, grace, and divine truth. To walk in His steps is to engage in a transformative journey of the heart, where our minds are renewed, and our spirits are uplifted. In the balance of existence, gaining the world's embrace at the cost of our souls is a hollow victory. The taste of Christ's fruits, the sweet essence of His teachings, invites us to root ourselves in ancient truths while blossoming in the light of His love. Here, in this divine alignment, we find the way of action for life—a path leading not only to temporal fulfillment but to eternal peace. Let us embrace this path with hearts open to transformation, minds eager for renewal, and spirits yearning for the eternal peace that only Christ can offer. May we find true wealth in His teachings and walk in His light, always remembering that the way of action for life leads us to a purpose and fulfillment beyond measure. In Christ's Love and Service, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 28, 2024)
