The Enduring Light of True Goodness (06/24/'24) -Message

Subject: The Enduring Light of True Goodness Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well, basking in the warmth of this day's blessings. Today, I wish to share a reflection that has gently stirred my spirit, inspired by the profound teachings of Jesus, who once asked, "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God" (Mark 10:18 KJV). In our daily journey, where the pursuit of goodness often seems as distant as the stars, I find solace in the imagery of our sun—a steadfast, singular source of light in our heavens. This celestial body does not merely illuminate; it teaches. It reminds us of the One true source of all that is good, pointing us beyond the temporal to the eternal, beyond our finite efforts to the infinite goodness of God. As our own sun rises and sets, marking the rhythm of our days, let us remember that true goodness, like the sun’s light, is not ours to own but to reflect. It originates from a higher source—God Himself. In every act of kindness, in every gesture of love, we are merely mirrors reflecting His eternal light. May we always strive to look beyond the surface, to seek not just to be good, but to be connected to the One who is truly good. Let this understanding brighten our paths and guide our actions. With warmth and gratitude, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 24, 2024)
