Discerning the Fruits: A Message on Understanding Good and Evil through Consequences (06/24/'24) -Message

Discerning the Fruits: A Message on Understanding Good and Evil through Consequences Dear Friends, Today, I want to share a message rooted in ancient wisdom, a timeless truth that guides us in discerning the nature of good and evil. In the vast orchard of life, where our choices stretch out like rows of ancient trees, we seek understanding. It is here, amidst the intertwining branches and whispering leaves, that we learn the profound lesson of discerning the fruits. A tree is known by its fruit, just as a person is known by their deeds. This simple yet powerful truth teaches us to look beyond appearances and intentions, to the tangible outcomes of our actions. The fruit reveals the tree's true nature, just as the consequences of our actions reveal the true nature of our hearts. Good fruit shines with a radiant glow, embodying the virtues of love, compassion, and integrity. These fruits endure, their sweetness a lasting testament to the goodness from which they sprang. They nourish the soul and bring forth life, a clear indicator of righteous living. Conversely, bitter fruit speaks of darkness and selfishness. These fruits, tainted by malice, serve as stark reminders of the paths we must avoid. They reveal the hidden rot within and the dangers of seemingly harmless decisions made without regard for their true impact. Without the fruit, how would we see the truth? It is the fruit that whispers the secrets of the tree, revealing its heart without a single word. The consequences of our actions unfold like petals of a flower, showing us the reality of our choices. By their fruits, we come to know the essence of our journey. Consequences guide our steps, illuminating the path with undeniable clarity. They call us to reflect, to discern, and to choose wisely. For in the harvest of our deeds lies the truth that truly leads, revealing the nature of our hearts and the paths we tread. As we walk through the orchard of life, let us heed this ancient wisdom. Let us discern the fruits, understand their message, and align our actions with the light they reveal. By doing so, we find the true measure of good and evil and the wisdom to choose the right path. May we all strive to bear good fruit, reflecting the love and goodness that God has planted within us. Let our actions be guided by this wisdom, bringing forth a harvest that nourishes and blesses all those around us. Blessings to you all, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 24, 2024)
