Embracing the Newness of Life in Christ (06/21/'24) -Message

Embracing the Newness of Life in Christ Dear Beloved Congregation, Today, we gather to reflect on the profound truth that we are buried with Christ into death so that we may walk in a new way of life in Him. This journey is not about God changing the mountains that stand before us, but about using these mountains to change us, to mold us into His likeness. Romans 6:4 reminds us, "We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life." This passage calls us to embrace the transformative power of our faith, to understand that in the heart of the storm, where our sight fails, faith must prevail. God bids us to walk by faith, not by sight, trusting in His divine plan even when we cannot see the way forward. Through baptism, we symbolically enter the grave, united with Christ in His death, and rise again, just as He did, to live a life renewed. This act is not merely a ritual but a powerful declaration of our commitment to walk in the newness of life, a life transformed by His grace and glory. Every letter of the Gospel is a divine roadmap, guiding us toward salvation. When believers immerse themselves in these sacred words, their hearts unite in a common bond of faith and love. For those who are yet to know the Gospel, these words offer a pathway to graceful faith, opening their hearts to the transformative power of Christ. Our mountains, those seemingly insurmountable challenges, are not obstacles but opportunities for growth. God does not seek to remove these mountains but to use them to shape us, to build our character, and to strengthen our faith. In the shadows cast by these towering challenges, we find our true purpose, forged in the fires of trial and triumph. Let us rise from the depths, bathed in the brilliant light of His glory, and walk boldly in the newness of life. Our faith, steadfast and unwavering, becomes a beacon of hope, illuminating the path for others. In Christ, all things are made new, and it is through Him that we find our true purpose and strength. May we embrace this journey with hearts full of faith, trusting that in every trial, every storm, and every challenge, God is at work, transforming us into His image. Let us walk together in this new way of life, united in faith and love, shining brightly as witnesses of His glory. In Christ's Love, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 21, 2024)
