Today's Reality and Situation In today's reality, these passages can be seen as a call to embrace inclusivity and compassion, especially toward those marginalized or stigmatized in society. Modern parallels to "sinners and tax collectors" might include various groups that are often judged or excluded, such as the homeless, addicts, LGBTQ+ individuals, immigrants, and those involved in the criminal justice system.
