Subject: Embracing the Divine Paradox: A Reflection on Crucifixion and Resurrection (06/19/'24)

Subject: Embracing the Divine Paradox: A Reflection on Crucifixion and Resurrection Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share with you a reflection that has been on my heart, inspired by the profound mystery of our faith. The Divine Paradox In the shadows where death casts its somber veil, life emerges with a duality that echoes through eternity. Crucifixion and Resurrection, two sacred actions, dance in the cosmic theater, choreographed by the divine. God in Christ is the fulfillment of every human longing, the answer to every heart’s cry. Christ’s death, not a distant event, but a personal embrace, a sacred touch for each individual soul. Death operates within us, a constant whisper of our mortality. Yet, within that whisper lies a promise of life, a life that pulses with the rhythm of divine love. We traverse from death to life, crossing the threshold with faith as our guide. "Be faithful unto death," He calls, and in that faithfulness, a crown of life awaits, a crown adorned with eternal glory. The scriptures, ancient yet ever new, speak of this mystery. John’s words, Romans’ truths, Matthew’s revelations—each a thread in the tapestry of redemption. In these sacred texts, the Gospel resonates, a timeless melody of sacrifice and renewal. For in Christ’s death and resurrection, our hearts find their true home, our spirits their eternal rest. In the divine paradox of death and life, we see the fullness of God’s grace. The Gospel is not merely a story; it is the breath of life, the heartbeat of existence. In embracing this truth, we discover that life, in its truest form, is a journey from crucifixion to resurrection, from sorrow to joy, from death to life everlasting. May this reflection bring you comfort and inspiration. Let us walk together in faith, embracing the divine paradox and the promise of eternal life. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 19, 2024)
