Subject: Embracing Faithful Stewardship: A Timeless Call to Responsibility Dear Friends, In a time before the rise of the church, words of wisdom and promises were given to guide us through life's journey. These ancient truths hold the key to understanding the essence of faithful stewardship, a principle that remains as relevant today as it was then. The nobleman's words, "Well done, good and faithful servant... over little, you shall have authority over ten cities," remind us of the importance of diligence and faithfulness in our responsibilities. The servant who multiplied his pound tenfold was entrusted with ten cities, illustrating that faithfulness in small tasks leads to greater responsibilities and rewards. Productive stewardship is crucial. It is not merely the quantity but the initiative and effective use of our resources that matter. Accountability brings reward, and the diligent are granted authority, symbolizing trust and capability. These parables, found in Luke and Matthew, point us toward a future where the faithful are rewarded. Today, we are called to embody these principles, using our time, talents, and resources wisely. The timeless call to faithful stewardship guides us to live responsibly, knowing our efforts will be rewarded. Let us serve with heart and diligence, knowing that our faithfulness in little will lead to greater things. As we navigate the complexities of modern life, let us remember the nobleman's wisdom: In a time before the church was born, Words of wisdom, promises sworn. A nobleman to distant lands did go, Leaving servants with treasures to grow. "Well done, good and faithful," He proclaimed, To those who multiplied what was named. Over little, they proved their worth, Gaining cities, their value unearthed. Faithful in small, entrusted with more, Diligent hearts open Heaven's door. A pound, a talent, gifts from above, Used with wisdom, faith, and love. Stewards of grace, with hands that sow, Reaping rewards, as blessings flow. For in the little, the seeds of might, Grow into cities of radiant light. In today’s realm, the call remains, To serve with heart, through joys and pains. Faithful stewardship, the ancient plea, Guides us to the path of responsibility. When the Master returns, His words will ring, To the faithful, He'll entrust everything. "Well done," He'll say, as we take our place, In His Kingdom, by His grace. May we all strive to be good and faithful servants, ready to embrace the greater responsibilities that await us. Let us embody trust, diligence, and responsibility, knowing that our efforts will be divinely rewarded. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 20, 2024)
