Subject: The Sacred Lens: A Faith Unbroken (06/05/'24) -Message

Subject: The Sacred Lens: A Faith Unbroken Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a profound reflection that has deeply resonated with me. It speaks to the transformative power of perspective, particularly when reading the Bible through the eyes of those who are less fortunate. In the shadows where the weary dwell, a faith unbroken, pure, does swell. With empty bellies, yet hearts so full, they grasp the Bible’s sacred pull. In pages worn by hands in need, the stories of the oppressed do bleed. Not words of comfort for the satiated, but calls for justice, unabated. The rich may read with eyes content, but miss the cries that heaven sent. For in the plight of those who lack, the Bible's truth takes deeper track. God’s chosen ones, in humble state, inherit faith that won’t abate. For in their trials, they see the light, a kingdom promised, shining bright. Revolutionary faith they hold, in tales of old, their lives unfold. The scriptures breathe with fervent fire, a call to rise, to lift, inspire. So read the Bible through their lens, where God’s own heart with theirs transcends. And find within its holy lore, the revolutionary faith of the poor. This passage reminds us that there is a profound richness in understanding scripture from the perspective of the marginalized. Their experience brings to life the Bible’s revolutionary themes and calls for justice, compassion, and solidarity. I hope this reflection inspires you as much as it has inspired me. Warm regards, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 5, 2024)
