Subject: The Transformative Power of Conscience, Repentance, and Faith (06/20/'24) -Message

Subject: The Transformative Power of Conscience, Repentance, and Faith Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a reflection that has been on my heart, touching on the interplay of conscience, sin, and faith. Sin weaves its binding threads around the soul, whispering against the heart's true call. In the quiet chambers of our minds, conscience speaks, offering freedom through choice. Yet, how deceptive the grip of addiction, promising control where none exists. Reaching out for help is a brave act, a defiance against the lie of self-sufficiency. Our conscience, a beacon of free will, stands in stark contrast to the ensnaring nature of sin. Repentance is the key, an act of faith in Christ. It requires courage to face our flaws, make amends, and remain grateful. It demands that we love ourselves and others, even as we confront our deepest fears. In this process, we become no longer a danger to ourselves or others. As Jesus proclaimed in Mark 1:14-15, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." This intertwining of repentance and faith is a dance, each step necessary for the other. F We are saved by grace, a divine gift not earned by deeds. Yet, this grace calls us to bear fruit; a faith without deeds is lifeless. The heart of our salvation beats with both grace and action. Through Christ, we find the strength to fight, to embrace repentance, and to live out our faith. In the light of the gospel, our choices matter. Conscience and free will align with divine purpose, guiding us toward a life of authenticity and freedom. The call to repent and believe is not merely a command but an invitation to a transformative journey. It is an assurance that grace awaits, ready to envelop us as we step forward in faith. May you find strength and courage in this message, embracing the transformative power of repentance and faith. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 20, 2024)
