The Beacon of Hope: The Shepherd's Call (06/15/'24) -Message

The Beacon of Hope: The Shepherd's Call Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share with you a reflection inspired by a passage and poem that has deeply resonated with me. Go rather to the lost sheep, those who wander in the shadows, forgotten and forsaken. They who, in their despair, consume one another, the poor of the flock, the ones who recognize the word of the Lord in their desolation. "As you go," He commands, "preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' In your hands, let healing flow—heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; now freely give." "My sheep listen to My voice; I know them intimately, and they follow Me. To them, I give eternal life, an unbreakable promise that they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand." Pasture the flock doomed to slaughter, for in this act lies a profound truth. Jesus, the Shepherd, to the doomed offers His embrace, a beacon of hope piercing through despair. He guides the lost and the broken, a healer of souls, casting light into the deepest darkness. In His hands, the doomed find refuge, the lost sheep are guided home. The poor of the flock discover their true worth, as the kingdom of heaven draws near. With each act of healing, love, and grace, eternal life blossoms for all. In this sacred mission, we find our purpose: to shepherd the lost, to heal the broken, to proclaim the kingdom. For in the eyes of the Shepherd, no soul is beyond redemption, no sheep too lost to be found, no doom too final to be undone. May these words bring you comfort and inspiration. Let us all strive to be shepherds to those who are lost, to offer healing where there is pain, and to proclaim the nearness of the kingdom of heaven. With grace and peace, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 15, 2024)
