The Tempest and the Tranquil (06/16/'24) -Message

The Tempest and the Tranquil Where is your storm? Keep in mind, you are the storm. A tempest brewed from within, swirling winds of doubt, and whirlwinds of sin. No wonder! Even Satan can disgrace himself to look like an angel of light, a deception cloaked in radiance. Satan, hiding in the details, tempts those who abide in Christ, while the others are already his, lost in shadows and false promises. Satan loves to take what's beautiful and twist it, make it sorrowful. Yet God, in His grace profound, takes what’s ruined and turns it around, crafting beauty from ashes. In the hands of the Divine, the broken mend, and all wounds transcend. Evil is the absence of God, a void where darkness trods. But light shines where He dwells, casting out the shadow’s spells. “Pray that you do not enter into temptation's snare,” said Jesus, His wisdom tender, guarding hearts with prayer. For the storm within may rage, yet in God’s peace, we engage. We calm the tempest, finding light in His love, our strength and might. The storm within, a reflection of the battle between darkness and light, is stilled by the hand of the Almighty. In the heart of the storm, we find the eye of peace, where God’s love reigns supreme, transforming our turmoil into tranquility, our chaos into calm. Scriptural Passages 2 Corinthians 11:14: "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." Matthew 26:41: "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Mark 14:38: "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Reflection Satan, which is in the details, tempts those who are in Christ; the others are already his. Satan loves to take what's beautiful and ruin it. God loves to take what’s ruined and make it beautiful. Evil is the absence of God. Pray that you do not enter into temptation. Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 16, 2024)
