Breaking Boundaries: The Universal Call of the Gospel (06/21/'24) -Passage

Breaking Boundaries: The Universal Call of the Gospel The Gospel of Jesus Christ emerged within a complex historical and cultural context. One fundamental reason for its birth was to transcend the existing boundaries and societal divisions, including those between Jews and Gentiles. The purpose of the Gospel is to unify humanity under the message of God's love and salvation, breaking down the barriers of exclusivity and promoting a new covenant that includes all people. The statement, "The sole purpose of non-Jews is to serve Jews in Monotheism. They will work, plow and reap. That is why Gentiles were created," reflects a historical perspective that views Gentiles' roles in a limited and subservient capacity. However, the Gospel of Jesus Christ fundamentally redefines this understanding by emphasizing that salvation and God's Kingdom are open to all, regardless of ethnic or cultural background. The core motive and purpose of the Gospel can be seen in passages like Galatians 3:28, which states, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." This underscores the Gospel's aim to establish a community where all are equal and united in their faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore, the fundamental reason for the Gospel's birth is to proclaim the inclusivity of God's love and the redemption offered through Jesus Christ. It aims to transform and redeem every individual, breaking down the walls of division and bringing all people into a harmonious relationship with God and each other. Pastor Steven G.
