The Courage to Let Go: Finding Strength in Faith (06/19/'24) -Passage

The Courage to Let Go: Finding Strength in Faith One of the most courageous decisions you will ever make is to finally let go of what is hurting your heart and soul. Biblical Reflections: Joshua 1:9 (NIV): "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Philippians 4:13 (NIV): "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV): "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." Psalm 31:24 (NIV): "Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord." Explanation: This passage emphasizes the profound bravery required to release oneself from the grip of addiction or any other deeply rooted pain. The true intention of this message is to inspire individuals to recognize that holding onto harmful behaviors or emotional pain is detrimental to their well-being. True courage is found in the decision to confront these issues head-on and to seek healing and freedom. This act of letting go is not merely a moment of strength but a continuous journey of trust in God's guidance and strength. The Bible verses provided reinforce that true courage is not an isolated human effort but is deeply rooted in faith, reliance on God's presence, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
