Boundless Grace: Moving from Words to Action (06/14/'24) -Message

Boundless Grace: Moving from Words to Action In the early light of dawn, a vineyard stretches wide, whispering a promise—a fair wage for honest work. Laborers gather, hearts hopeful, eyes lifted to the heavens, believing in the grace of a new day. As the sun climbs higher, more join the ranks, called by the landowner’s voice. From noon to twilight, they come, bound by a common hope under a shared sky. At day's end, wages are paid, equal denarius for all. Murmurs of discontent rise from those who toiled longest. "Why," they ask, "are we not more generously rewarded?" The landowner, with a gentle smile, replies, "Did we not agree on this wage? I choose to give equally, to the last as to the first. Here, in my vineyard, grace abounds, and roles are reversed." In a world driven by merit and trade, where effort is measured and worth is weighed, this tale of boundless grace shines like stars against a night sky. It calls us to ponder, to question the why. Why do we speak of grace, yet fail to act, letting our deeds fall behind our words? For grace is neither earned nor bought, but freely given, to young and old alike. Boundless grace lives in actions shown, growing beyond mere words. To extend a hand, to forgive, to share—this is to live in grace, with hearts laid bare. From talk to deed, we are called to move, meeting each soul in their need. In this grace, we find our place, reflecting God's love, a boundless embrace. Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 14, 2024)
