Subject: Embracing Divine Rest in Our Daily Lives (06/12/'24) -Message

Subject: Embracing Divine Rest in Our Daily Lives Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share with you a reflection on the profound peace and rest that can be found in our spiritual journey, inspired by scripture. In our daily lives, gain is where we find our rest, deep and subtle, life's quiet quest. As we search, we uncover our way to stay, to be, and to live each day fully. Jesus invites us with His words, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). This invitation reminds us of the importance of caring for our spiritual matters, where our actions align with our values and direction is discovered. With this alignment, the mind finds peace, anxiety fades, and worries cease, as we remember, "Do not be anxious about anything...and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). A decided heart and a tranquil mind come from knowing what to seek and find. "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you" (Isaiah 26:3). In our life's practice, truth and grace reveal themselves, and gain is found in that quiet place where the essence of being is embraced. "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10) is a call to rest in His presence, letting His peace dwell within us, for He said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you" (John 14:27). Truly, "my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him" (Psalm 62:1). May you find peace and rest in your spiritual journey and let these words inspire you to seek the tranquility and grace that comes from aligning with divine purpose. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 12, 2024)
