The Eternal Echo of Preparedness (06/14/'24) -Message

The Eternal Echo of Preparedness (Echoes of the Vigilant Flame) In the stillness of the night, a voice so clear—"Truly I say, I do not know you." This profound statement, found in Matthew 25:12, is part of the Parable of the Ten Virgins. Five were wise, with lamps aglow, while five were foolish, unprepared when the Bridegroom arrived. This parable, a poignant reminder of spiritual vigilance, calls us to be ever ready, in both heart and soul. Our lives themselves are light, each of us a beacon in the vast darkness. This light, a reflection of hope and guidance, illuminates paths for others to follow. In a world often shrouded in shadows, our light becomes a catalyst for change, a whisper of grace in a tumultuous world. We are urged to tend to our spirits, to nurture the flame within us. Complacency is a perilous trap, whispering false assurances that mere association with faith is sufficient. Yet, true depth calls us to a profound resonance that demands more than surface belief. "Be ready," the parable instructs, "for the Bridegroom comes at an unknown hour." Our hearts must be prepared, our minds sharp, our souls attuned to the divine whisper. Faithfulness leads to wholeness, a preparation not just for an event but for a way of life. Our light is not just for ourselves but for the world. In our actions and words, we become living testimonies, embodiments of love and truth. Our influence stretches beyond the visible, touching lives in ways unseen, guiding, nurturing, and inspiring. Neglect not your inner flame, for in its glow lies the essence of your being. Let your life be a lamp, ever burning bright, a vigilant light that echoes through the ages, reflecting the eternal dance of faith and preparedness. In every gesture of kindness, in every act of mercy, we become the light of the world, shining in the darkness, illuminating the way for all to see. Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 14, 2024)
