The Gospel's Light: Healing America's Addictions (06/14/'24) -Message

The Gospel's Light: Healing America's Addictions Dear Friends, I believe America is addicted to racism, guns, drugs, pornography, alcoholism, and capitalism. These shadows linger where our nation soars, weaving tightly through our society, tightening their grip. Racism, guns, and drugs echo in the night, while pornography’s fleeting flame lures, alcohol’s grip brings silent shame, and capitalism’s relentless chase leaves a hollow place. Yet, amid this storm, a voice rings clear—a whisper of hope that we all might hear: "God is faithful." In our trials and pain, He breaks chains, not promises. "God cannot be tempted by evil" (James 1:13-14). In His steadfast love, the truth unfolds. No promise He breaks, no bond He forsakes. His grace illuminates our path, breaking through the darkness. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is pure and true, an antidote to the bonds that bind, a healing balm for the wounds our world has known. As we turn to the Savior's light, seeking the peace that shines through the night, we find solace. In His love, our hearts discover the way to a new dawn, a brighter day. Let us embrace the Gospel’s light, the antidote to America’s addictions, and find in His grace the strength to heal, to break free from the chains that bind. In His love, we rise, we renew, and we are made whole. With hope and faith, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 14, 2024)
