The Heart of True Worship (06/13/'24) -Message

The Heart of True Worship Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well and blessed. I wanted to share a reflection on the true essence of worship, inspired by our daily walk with Christ. Working together with Christ is true daily worship. Faithful work is more acceptable to God than the most zealous and thought-to-be holiest worship. It is working together with Christ that is true worship. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did well to the false prophets. ~ Jesus In the quiet moments of the dawn, where the light of day begins to yawn, we find the sacred rhythm of working together with Christ. This is where true worship lies, in the heart and mind united in purpose. Faithful labor, in fields wide and tasks small, is more precious to God than zealous pride. His holy presence embraces every humble act, blessing the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. But woe to the rich, whose fleeting cheer finds consolation only here. Woe to you, when praised by men, for false prophets were lauded then. In Christ’s work, true worship resides, not in hollow, resounding cries. Together in Christ, each step we take is a hymn of love, a testament to heaven’s sake. In every duty, humble and true, our hearts are renewed, made new. So let our hands and hearts align in Christ’s pure work, in love divine. For working with Him, side by side, is where true worship does abide. May we all find joy and purpose in our daily tasks, knowing that we are worshipping through our faithful labor in Christ. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 13, 2024)
