The Stillness of Faith The Calm Within the Storm In still waters, truth is found. Reflections are pure, without a sound. Flowing streams, in constant motion, cannot reveal the heart's devotion. "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?" Jesus asked. With His voice, the winds waned. He rebuked the sea, and the storm ceased. A great calm followed, bringing peace. What kind of man commands the waves so that the winds obey and the tempest calms? In quietude, His power is displayed, and in faith, our fears and doubts are allayed. Seek not the mirror in waters flowing, for truth in turbulence is unknowing. But in the stillness, clear and bright, we see His love, His strength, His light. The men marveled, with hearts anew, "What sort of man can calm the blue?" In Jesus' calm, our souls are free. In still waters, His truth we see. Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 8, 2024)
